Hairstyles of the 50s were curly, permed and usually worn up. Men had very groomed and barbered hair that was often greased to keep it in place. The Ponytail made its appearance among the teenagers, and the DA hit the scene of the rock and roll crowd, introduced by Elvis Presley.
